About

Our Story

Born on the sun-soaked shores of Southern California, Doheny Bike was inspired by the iconic lifestyle of Doheny Beach—where surfing, freedom, and mobility define the coastal experience. Rooted in the laid-back yet adventurous spirit of Dana Point, Doheny Bike is committed to redefining personal transportation through electric bikes (e-bikes) that deliver freedom, sustainability, and a fun, active lifestyle.

At Doheny Bike, we believe that everyone should enjoy the mobility and independence once common in the golden era of the 70s and 80s. Our mission is to empower individuals of all ages with safe, stylish, and eco-friendly ways to explore, commute, and experience the outdoors.

Freedom to Ride, Anywhere

At Doheny Bike, we set out to deliver affordable, reliable electric bikes designed for everyday mobility—not just trendy local rides. Our Fold N’ Go design offers unmatched portability and convenience, fitting easily in smaller vehicles so you can take your e-bike on any adventure.

Built with power, performance, and value in mind, our bikes combine rugged reliability with serious wallet-friendly savings. We partner with trusted local-backed manufacturers to ensure lasting quality and support.

Ride for just an hour a few times a week and experience more happiness, health, and freedom.

Doheny Bike Teams with City to
PROMOTE BIKE SAFETY

Jason Spates and Micah Meiring, owners of the local e-bike shop Doheny Bike, are partnering with the City of Dana Point to distribute 50 to 60 complimentary helmets. Doheny Bike, whose electric bikes can reach a maximum speed of 23-28 mph, created the event to promote the use of proper protection when riding e-bikes.

Doheny Bike Celebrates Bike Saftey
Month with FREE HELMETS

In the hopes of getting kids in the habit of wearing a helmet, Doheny Bike will give them away to kindergartners and kids in grades between first and third grades throughout the month of May.

“We believe in helmet safety and feel that educating at an early age will teach bicycle safety and the importance of wearing a helmet while enjoying a bicycle, scooter or skate board,” Spates said in an email.
