Class 2 e-bikes

After some careful planning and research, we have decided to add a Class 2 option to our e-bikes.

Our current e-bike models are both Class 2 & Class 3 as they are equipped with a throttle with the capability of going up to 28mph. In most areas riders are required to be 16 years of age in order to ride any e-bike with Class 3 capability.

We have always believed our e-bikes are a bit to powerful for young riders and wanted to find a way for them to be able to enjoy them while staying safe at the same time.

As the new school year starts, we have gotten requests for an e-bike that is compliant with local schools and school districts.

We will now provide a Class 2 option that comes stock with pedal assist. The choice to add throttle capability will be up to the parent.

In order to be eligible,

Riders must be at least 5'0"

Riders must perform a test ride in front of a Doheny employee before purchase, in order to certify that they are capable of riding the e-bike in a safe manner and are aware of the rules of the road.

** A Doheny employee has the right to restrict a purchase or test ride if they believe the rider may not meet the riding standards necessary to ride our e-bikes**

This Class 2 option is currently only available at our store in Dana Point, CA.
